Metasedimentary rocks and some boulders of intrusive granitics in drainage bottom. Slopes with mix of coastal sage scrub (Artemisia californica, Salvia apiana, Eriogonum fasciculatum, and Keckiella antirrhinoides) and chaparral (Adenostoma fasciculatum, Rhus ovata, Ceanothus crassifolius, and Malosma laurina). Riparian area with Platanus racemosa, Salix lasiolepis, Baccharis salicifolia, Fraxinus velutina, Typha and Scirpus.
Annual. Local in open areas about rock outcrops on mesic slopes.
