Chaparral of Adenostoma fasciculatum, Ceanothus crassifolium, C. leucodermis, Arctostaphylos glauca, and Eriodictyon crassifolium, on slopes; alluvial fan with open scrub of Adenostoma fasciculatum, Ceanothus crassifolium, Eriodictyon crassifolium, Eriogonum fasciculatum, Lotus scoparius, and scattered Quercus agrifolia and Platanus racemosa.
Rosette-leaved perennial, flowers cream-white, tinged with purple towards the tepal tips. Common on rocky benches and slopes.
