Highly disturbed former tank farm, soil surface largely covered by imported gravel but native plants persisting, now maintained as open (waste) land. With Bromus, Hordeum, Salsola, Atriplex semibaccata, Heterotheca grandiflora, Cortaderia jubata, Salix lasiolepis, Salix gooddingii, Baccharis salicifolia, and Baccharis pilularis.
Very common annual; yellow fls. with dark anthers.
