Associated with Achnatherum speciosum, Asclepias californica, Bromus tectorum, Cryptantha muricata, Erigeron foliosus foliosus, Eriodictyon trichocalyx, Eriogonum pusillum, Fremontodendron californicum, Galium angustifolium, Garrya veatchii, Gilia splendens, Lotus procumbens procumbens, Lupinus excubitus austromontanus, Quercus chrysolepis, Salvia columbariae, Yucca whipplei.
Common perennial, light purple and yellow flowers.
