Subtropical, low-elevation desert with chaparral elements, precise site characterized by Eriophyllum wallacei, but otherwise very weedy. Growing in open sunny, flat, fine-decomposed granite drainage area on the W side of the outcrop.
Small, ephemeral, annual to 5 cm in diameter. Flowers white with maroon-red nectar guides.
