Habitat:
Small dry silty meadow appx. 60m across, on decomposed granite soil. Surrounded by dry Artemisia - Purshia scrub with Populus tremuloides, Pinus contorta, Cercocarpus ledifolius, Leptosiphon nuttallii. Meadow dominated by Muhlenbergia richardsonis, Juncus mexicanus, Arnica parryi, Carex.
Description:
Dominant clonal dicot in meadow. About 13 rays, almost flowering.
