Broad alluvial valley grading gently to the SSE, sandy to sandy loam soils. Drier disturbed flats dominated by Eriogonum fasciculatum, Artemisia dracunculus, Rhus trilobata, and Corethrogyne filaginifolia. Spring areas with Baccharis salicifolia, Salix lasiolepis, S. laevigata, S. exigua, dense stands of Carex, Anemopsis californica, Juncus mexicana in understory.
Locally common annual under Salix in seep area.
