Moist chaparral on gradual N-NW facing slope. Associated species: Quercus semota, Clematis, Staphylea, Ceanothus leucodermis flowering, Cornus, Ceanothus integerrimus, etc. budding. Others vegetative. P. subcordata not budding yet, lots of it.
