United States, California, Fresno, West Belmont Ave. somewhere near Jameson Ave.- about 11 miles west of Fresno on the flat of the San Joaquin Valley.
Habitat:
Cultivated area in former Valley Grassland; roadsides get overflow of irrigation on occasion, weedy growth rank.
Description:
Along road outside fence, waist to shoulder high; flowers bright blue; basal rosette of leaves; slightly fleshy white root.
