Canyon bottom, historically a dry arroyo, but now permanently wet due to agricultural runoff from fields on mesa to the southwest. Sandy and silty soil. Coast live oak woodland with Salix, Urtica, Rorippa n.-a., etc. along the stream. Low diversity of aquatic plants.
