Topsoil over clay and decomposed stone with San Jacinto Peak outcroppings
Coastal sage scrub dominated by Ca. sage brush. Brush has been cut back 5 meters from both sides of road some time ago (1 yr or more).
One stalk selected from center of 2'h x 1.5'w multi stemmed bush. The stalks are succulent in nature and covered with soft thorns. Flowers are purple with white bases. Only one plant found in this area.
