High point on ridge top, with Quercus wislizeni chaparral on north slope and chamissal chaparral on the south slopes
Substrate:
Rock outcrops are whitish with iron stains and small flecks of overlying dark brown, fine-grained loam.
Associated Taxa:
Quercus wislizeni subsp. frutescens, Adenostoma fasciculatum var. fasciculatum, Hesperoyucca whipplei, Ericameria nauseosa subsp. oreophylla, Arctostaphylos glandulosa.
