Upper alluvial slope in older alluvium, slope cut by large active wash; substrate rocky/ gravelly/ sandy. Desert pavement on slopes outside of wash. Wash with low rocky banks; assoc. with Olneya, Parkinsonia florida, Larrea.
Buds only
Solitary 0.5 m perennial at wash edge, stems spreading ascending. Foliage glandular hairy. No open fls. yet, just buds.
