Upper end of small canyon. Canyon bottom with Eucalyptus sp., but south-facing, shaded slope supporting high-quality sage scrub. Dominant species include Artemisia californica, Simmondsia chinensis, and Bahiopsis laciniatus.
Diminuitive annual growing in moist, vernal pool depression.
