Soil sandy loam. Slope 0-10 degrees. Growing along perviously disturbed, graded roadside in mixed (Rhus integrifolia, Quercus dumosa, Lotus scoparius, and Carpobrotus edulis) chaparral community.
Perennial herb to 60 cm tall, from bulb. In flower, corolla yellow, tepals dimorphic, inner > outer. Inner tepals, burgundy margins, hairy on inside surface. 2 of 2.
