Open mixed Eriogonum fasciculatum, Salvia melifera / closed mixed Avena barbata, Bromus madritensis scrub community. Tannish-red sany clay. Ca. 20 degree slope.
Annual. Rose-purple corollas with white/yellow pouches and deep purple spots; corolla teeth 1.5 mm. Calices ca. 13 mm. (However, bracts shorter than corollas indicating a possible hybrid with ssp. gracils).
