Open mixed Eriogonum fasciculatum, Salvia mellifera / closed mixed Avena barbata, Bromus madriensis scrub community. Tannish -red sandy clay. Ca. 20 degree slope.
Annual. Rose-purple corollas with white/yellow pouch, and deep purple spots; ca. 1 mm teeth. Bracts shorter than corollas. (Calyxes varying between 8 and 11 mm/ amd pouches longer that deep indicating a possible hybrid with ssp. densiflora.
