Brown, silty loam. Slight north-facing slope, exposed. Mostly disturbed grassland (Bromus madritensis ssp. rubens, B. diandrrus, B. hordeaceus, Erodium botyrs, Centaurium metlitensis).
Tree, ca. 20 feet tall, bark grey-brown, trunk furrowed to plated, that of brahces smooth.
