Pinus albicaulis Krumholtz to 11,200' - rare specimens to 12,000'; basin mostly alpine with extensive areas herbaceous alpine cover. This Potentilla; at top of long, sandy, gravelly rocky slope; The long slope & the crest look barren from below, actually a good plant list - richer on crest than on slope.
