United States, California, Sonoma, Found on Russian River terrace; across the river from Hilton. Found well up and near the end of the trail above Summer Home park. High up SW facing slope past 2nd road and at end of off wood road at right.

Found near: black oak, madrone, toyon, poison oak, mt. lilac, douglass fir, hazelnut
Light grey, narrowly ridged bark. Leaves are more finely lobed and much thinner with a yellow(ish) green color. Has no leathery texture. The tree is small, slender and with a sparsely-foliaged crown.
