Habitat:
Lower montane coniferous forest, elevations range from 2,500-3,000 ft. Opening in mixed conifer forest. Overstory: Pseudotsuga menziesii and Pinus Ponderosa with Quercus kelloggii scattered throughout. Midstory: Ceanothus integerrimus, Cornus nuttallii. Understory: annual grass, Toxicodendron diversilobum.
