Grown in pot on Erigeron from Strybing Arboretum (San Francisco Botanical Garden) using seeds from wild-collected plant (Dean W. Taylor 18682). Seeds collected from Highway 3 16 miles N of Trinity Center or 1 mi S of Graves Creek, lower hillslopes E of the Trinity River. Heavy dark rich clay deeply cracked soil of moist meadow, growing in Aster occidentalis-Perideridia parishii var. latifolia dominated site, peridotite substratum, bordered by mixed conifer forest, coll. 13-Aug-2003. DNA voucher.
