Habitat:
Dominant trees: Pinus ponderosa, P. lambertiana, Pseudotsuga taxifolia, Quercus kelloggii, Q. chrysolepis, Arbutus menziesii, Libocedrus decurrens. Shrubby understory sparse, mainly: Ceanothus, Rhamnus, Arctostaphylos. Herbaceous plants sparse, most drying up. Sloping hillsides with thick layer of leaves.
