General collecting along washed out wash and slopes on the west side of canyon. Most collections south of the varied color badlands (down canyon). The canyon much used and abused by off roaders. Polant associates include: Larrea tridentata, Ambrosia dumosa, Encelia farinosa, E. frutescens, Hymenoclea salsola, Atriplex hymenelytra, and Atriplex polycarpa. With many native and introduced annuals. Growing on sandy canyon bottom, and slopes.
