Large open area of annual grass-land; thin soil over Tuscan Mudflow volcanic bedrock; in mixed oak woodland (blue oak, gray pine, buckbrush, manzanita); with Avena spp., scattered dry Centaurea melitensis, Achyrachaena mollis, Bromus hordeaceus. Accidentally collected with a handful of Brachypodium distachyon (#10808), which is common but not dominant.
