Yellow flowers about 3 feet tall. Along road opposite a small draw with sandy alluvium. In sunny exposure. Associated with: Rhus integrifolia, Heteromeles arbutifolia, Quercus agrifolia, Umbellularia californica, Artemisia douglasiana, Malosma laurina, Toxicodendron diversilobum, Mimulus aurantiacus, Eriophyllum confertiflorum, Sambucus mexicana and Heterotheca grandiflora and Lotus scoparius.
