Large open flattish dry meadow sloping to the west; surrounded by ±open fir forest (white fir, red fir, Jeffrey pine, occasional incense cedar). Some areas of the meadow with Wyethia mollis; some areas dominated by Acmispon americanus, Madia glomerata; some edges with Artemisia tridentata plus more typical fir forest shrubs Ceanothus cordulatus, Quercus vacciniifolia. Abundant on soft soil and open ground; flowers bright yellow. PNF occurrence #025.
