South-southeast sloping glade on Oak Ridge. The most concave part of the glade, with dry clayey soils, massively dominated by Hemizonia congesta; the conves drier parts in the middle of the glade dominated by yellow star thistle; the even more dry, steeper upper edges dominated by Lessingia nemaclada. Partly bordered by a black oak grove (which is along the adjacent ridge line) and forest of Ponderosa pine and black oak. Occasional, growing with the Hemizonia congesta.
