East-sloping springtime meadow (now dry) opening in ponderosa pine dominated mixed conifer forest; bordered by ponderosa pine, black oak, white-leaf manzanita, toyon, hoary coffeeberry, poison oak; hard rocky ground probably had shallow sheet-flow in the spring, now dominated by Perideridia kelloggii, Carex hirtissima, Eleocharis bolanderi, areas of Triteleia hyacinthina. Plants occasional, especially at the bottom of the meadow next to the dirt road.
