Habitat: Very open Jeffrey pine woodland with Purshia tridentata, Ceanothus prostratus, Wyethia mollis, Chrysothamnus, etc.; soft decomposed granite soil with scattered rounded granite boulders. No ray flowers, disk flowers yellow.
