Steep northeast-facing slope of blue oak woodland with Arctostaphylos manzanita, Cercocarpus and scattered buckeye; with Saxifraga, Claytonia parviflora, Ranunculus hebecarpus, Geranium molle, Sanicula bipinnata, Dichelostemma congestum, Pentagramma, sparse annual grasses; good soil from conglomerate rock substrate. Flowers light purple with slightly darker veins; floor of throat with bright yellow raised ridges coming to a point in front; plants always next to a Saxifraga plant, the larger saxifrages with Orobanche with larger flowers.
