Description: Rapidly spreading noxious alien; shallow-rooted annual, decumbent to ascending, 2-6 dm tall; infl spike-like, dense; spikelets 2 ranked, 2 per node; axis breaking above glumes; glumes awl-awn like, firm; lemma lanceolate, 5-8 mm long, awn 3-7 cm >>lemma body
