Habitat: This herb was collected from a meadow in the general vicinity of a seepage area on a southeast exposure as a member of the herb layer in a fruiting state. The population was located on the alluvial or bottmlands of a ridge system that had a 5 percent slope, a smooth vertical slope shape and a smooth horizontal slope shape. It was growing on soil having a silty loam texture with a residual origin.
