Habitat:
Rocky canyon, slopeing ca. 20 degrees, gacing N15W. Talus and bedrock outcrops. Coarse-grained felsic igneous rock. Late Jurassic - early Cretaceous quartz monzonite and quartz diorite.
Associated Taxa:
Desert scrub. With Aristida purpurea, Bebbia juncea var. aspera, Opuntia basilaris, Sphaeralcea ambigua, Ambrosia dumosa, Ephedra nevadensis, etc.
Description:
Shrub; red and white disks. Fairly frequent in drainage.
