Canyon bottom with chaparral, coastal sage scrub, and southern oak woodland. Dominants include Quercus agrifolia, Adenostoma fasciculatum, Ericameria pinifolia, Baccharis salicifolia, Rhus ovata, Acmispon glaber, etc.

Notes:
Uncommon annual; pale lavender flowers with purple veins.
