Large wash and banks along it, slope 4°, facing N85E. Sand gravel, and rock substrate, quaternary alluvium, surrounded by hills composed mostly of sedimentary Pre-Cambrian Crystal Spring Formation, with Ambrosia salsola, Ephedra, Sciutellaria mexicana, Eriogonum fasciculatum, Echinocactus polycephalus, Salvia dorrii, Menodora spinescens, Psorothamnus, Chamaesyce micromera, etc.

Shrub, 2-6 ft tall; common along wash, c. 1000 plants in the area.
