Habitat:
Bare, heavily compacted ground of north-northeast-facing slope, with Quercus pacifica and Pinus torreyana ssp. insularis.
Reproductive Condition:
Flowering & Fruiting
Notes:
Larger spinke reddish brown, half-submerged; smaller spike totally subterranean. Apparently connected by roots to Arctostaphylos confertiflora.
