Habitat:
Pinyon-oak woodland with Quercus cornelius-mulleri, Pinus monophylla, Ephedra nevadensis, Atriplex canescens, Yucca brevifolia, Ambrosia salsola, Stipa speciosa, Cylindropuntia echinocarpa, Peritoma arborea, Opuntia chlorotica, O. basilaris, Castilleja chromosa, Eriogonum fasciculatum. Many winter annuals have germinated and are rosettes including Phacelia, Amskinkia, Cryptantha, Chaenactis, Gilia, and Salvia columbarie.
