Grasland/shrubland. Ridge and steep east-facing slope below the ridgeline. Substrate is a mixture carbonate and granitic rock. Carbonate soil dominated by Eriogonum fasciculatum and natives. Adjacent non-carbonate soils dominated by non-native grasses.
