Forested slopes and flats, small seasonal drainage and meadow running through yellow pine woodland, surrounded by dry Cercocarpos/Arctostaphylos upland scrub. Dark duffy decomposed granite soil with Salix, Horkelia, Symphoricarpos, Potentilla, Sphenosciadium, etc.
Flowering
Common to locally abundant in shady moist areas. Flowers cream.
