Habitat:
Coastal bluffs above stony beach, eroding shale and mudstone; with Suaeda taxifolia, Encelia californica, Opuntia prolifera, O. littoralis, etc.

Buds only
Notes:
Fairly common succulent-leaved perennial on bluffs, mostly toward the top on ± hard layer. Lvs. in rosettes, stems clustered. None with open flowers.
