Moist bed of dried low-gradient stream with dense herbs forming meadowy borders. Surrounded by dry slopes with scattered granite boulder outcrops; decomposed granite soil; brushy pine-oak woods with Pinus cou., P. jef., Arctostaphylos pun., A. pri., Quercus wis., Q. kel., Cercocarpus b., Ceanothus, Lonicera, etc.
Flowering & Fruiting
Fairly common rhizomatous perennial along margins of dried stream; fls. white with purple lips.
