Alluvial slopes with native woodland/scrub (Sambucus, Platanus, Baccharis, Ribes aureum, etc.) and replanted “native” vegetation and exotic landscaping; sandy loam soil.

Notes:
Uncommon 6-25 m trees; native on dry alluvium, but some also planted near buildings in landscaped areas. Pale bark.
