Ridge above road and alluvial bench along wash; sandy loam with many rounded cobbles; burned coastal sage scrub with much Opuntia littoralis (now mostly dead) and many fire-following herbs. Hot burn consumed almost all vegetation here -- main skeletons are cacti.
Flowering & Fruiting
Uncommon perennial with infl. c. 2 m tall, on ridge. Fls. white with purple tips. All lvs. from ± solitary basal rosettes. Some plants in fruit.
