Shallow ravine near bluff edge in annual grassland.
Flowering
Shrub, flowers purplish. Planted in 2002 as part of a restoration project, but only a couple plants have survived and are now persisting. Salvia clevelandii “Aromas” cultivar from Tree of Life Nursery. An analysis of the specimen by John Johnson, indicates that these plants are hybrids with S. leucophylla based on the presence of branched hairs.
