Disturbed areas; vacant lots, along roads, on levees and beside bike path. Flora predominantly weedy with Salix, Rubus discolor, Cirsium, Bromus, Toxicodendron, etc.
Fertile
Solitary tree c. 15-20 m tall at edge of a vacant lot. Trunk c. 1.5 m d.b.h., splits to 2 trunks at c. 2 m above the ground. Bark rough, fibrous, red-brown. Tree presumably planted, but receiving no care currently and the sp. native in immediate area.
