Dense oak-buckeye woodland on N-facing slopes, open Q. douglasii woodland with much annual grass on E-facing slopes, and open annual grassland on exposed ridge tops and S-facing slopes.
Flowering
Scarce to uncommon perennial in open areas on ridgetop and in clay patch on a N-facing slope. Fls. white. Lvs. shrivel with flowering.
