Oak woodland, grassland and riparian zone along the canyon bottom. N-facing slopes dominated by Quercus chrysolepis, Q. kelloggii and Aesculus californica; more exposed woodlands dominated by Q. douglasii with much annual grass.
Sterile
Uncommon trees to c. 30 m tall, mostly large with tall straight trunks, to 1 m d.b.h. Bark white. Scattered on canyon bottom along stream.
