Well-developed soil on flat area between two streams, in meadow surrounded by chaparral/montane coniferous forest. Dominants include Pteridium aquilinum, Carex alma, Artemisia douglasiana, Stachy albens, etc.
Fruiting
Scarce. In SE area near spring-fed stream.
