Oak woodland of Quercus agrifolia, Q. engelmannii, Heteromeles arbutifolia, Sanicula crassicaulis, Juncus textilis, Lonicera subspicata ssp. denudata, etc. with scattered areas of Stipa grasslands and mesic chaparral of Ceanothus tomentosus, Adenostoma fasciculatum, Eriogonum fasciculatum, Artemisia californica, Salvia apiana, etc. Alluvial substrate with a sandy, humus-rich soil along the drainage and gabbroic substrates with a cobbley clay soil on higher slopes; S aspect; 0-60% slope.
